Augusto Robles
Dr. Augusto Robles is an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry, where he also serves as the Director of the Operative Dentistry Curriculum and Head of the General Dentistry Division. He holds degrees in dentistry, including a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), a Master of Science (M.S.), and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). Dr. Robles is currently the chair of the Distance Learning Committee for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and a member of the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network and has research interests in dental materials, adhesion/bonding, composites, minimally invasive dentistry, and ceramic onlays.
In 2020, Dr. Robles was honored with the UAB President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He is also a graduate of the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy and has represented UAB as faculty in Japan on two occasions.
Dr. Robles has contributed to the field through numerous publications, presentations, and hands-on workshops nationally and internationally, focusing on advancements in restorative, minimally invasive, and biomimetic dentistry. His work emphasizes the integration of innovative materials and techniques to enhance patient care.
