Dr. Meharry was born in Everett, Washington and immigrated to Alberta Canada at age 15 with parents. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts from Loma Linda University La Sierra campus in June 1976 and then completed his DDS degree at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California in 1980. He was selected as a member to the Chi Chi Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society upon graduation. After 20 years of private practice of general dentistry in Calgary, Alberta Canada, Dr. Meharry accepted a call to serve as co-director of a medical-dental mission clinic at the Republic of Palau, in Micronesia. In May of 2003 Dr. Michael Meharry returned to North America and accepted a position of Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, from 2003-2013.  July 2006 to May 2008 Dr. Meharry attended the Operative Dentistry Residency program at the University of Iowa and received his MS Degree in Operative Dentistry. Dr Meharry has  been full time clinical faculty at Midwestern University Dental Institute, Glendale Arizona from 2013-present.
