John Gammichia

I am a fourth-year dental student at the University of Florida College of Dentistry with a strong interest in operative dentistry. Growing up as the son of a practicing dentist who focuses on posterior composite restorations, I was exposed early to the importance of thoughtful, high-quality restorative care. These experiences played a significant role in shaping my appreciation for operative dentistry and its impact on long-term patient outcomes.

I recognize that dental school provides only the foundation for lifelong learning and that true clinical growth occurs through continued education, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Through membership in the Academy of Operative Dentistry and participation in its courses and meetings, I hope to further develop my clinical skills and better prepare myself for the realities of practice. I am eager to learn from experienced clinicians, absorb as much knowledge as possible, and commit to continual improvement throughout my career as a practitioner.
