Upoma Guha
Upoma Guha, B.D.S., M.S., is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry within the Adult Restorative Dentistry Department. Before her tenure at UNMC, she was a faculty member at the University of Florida College of Dentistry within the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences - Division of Operative Dentistry from 2018-2022 and at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) from 2015-2018. Dr. Guha earned her dental degree from the University of Dhaka in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2009 and received a Master of Science and a Clinical Certificate in Operative Dentistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015.
Dr. Guha's diverse career path brought unique opportunities for her role as an educator, researcher, and dental practitioner. She has been engaged in teaching a wide range of preclinical and clinical courses as course director, including dental anatomy, operative dentistry, and cariology courses. Besides, Dr. Guha enjoys mentoring students in research related to dental erosion and the implication of digital technology in operative dentistry education, and dental biomaterials. Dr. Guha enjoys providing patient care in local and regional communities with the state of art dental treatments.
